What helps
most
- 01 Where and when. A site address and a window of dates. Light is a scheduling problem before it is an aesthetic one.
- 02 Where it will be used. Web only, print campaign, a book, an award entry. This sets the licence and therefore the fee.
- 03 How many finals. Eight strong images cost less than thirty mediocre ones, and travel further.
- 04 Anything fixed. A deadline, a budget ceiling, a building that is only open on Tuesdays.

Six to eight weeks is comfortable for architectural work, mostly because we want a choice of days in case the weather refuses to cooperate. Editorial deadlines are usually shorter and I keep room for them. If something is urgent, ask anyway — gaps appear.
Two parts, always stated separately: a day rate covering shooting and post, and a licence covering where the pictures appear, for how long, and in which territories. Splitting them means you only pay for the reach you actually need, and it makes a later expansion simple to price.
Yes. Most plates are available as archival pigment prints in two sizes, editioned at seven plus two artist proofs, signed and numbered on the verso. Name the plate number from the catalogue and I will send sizes, paper options and current availability.
Regularly, and gladly. Travel within Europe is straightforward and billed at cost. Further afield works best when there is more than one building to photograph, so the trip earns its carbon and its invoice.
